Welcome to LiveWires

Privately owned and managed by Jan Austin, 'LiveWires' is an Out-of-School Club which operates within the grounds of Easingwold Community Primary School. We are registered with OFSTED to provide friendly, stimulating, fun, out-of-school care for children aged 3 to 12 years with suitably qualified and experienced staff.

We have a purpose built building situated behind the main school buildings as well as use of the playing field during all sessions.

At the beginning of the day the children are escorted to the school door and at the end of the school day, they are collected safely from within the school building.

We communicate with the school office daily and leave a register with them both at the start and after school so that they are informed of the children who will be attending 'LiveWires' each day. Transport is available before and after school during term time for children attending Crayke C of E Primary School and Husthwaite C of E Primary School.

We are well aware that parents may have anxieties when they leave their children in the care of others, whether that is because they are at work, following adult education programmes or because their children want to take part in activities outside of the home. It is for this reason that we want to create a safe, supportive, home-from-home environment where children will want to be.

"We will provide a safe, inclusive and
positive environment"

We will offer challenging and fun programmes to help children develop to their fullest potential - physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally.

We will involve the children in the way their club is run and they will have many opportunities to give their opinions on the activities we plan and the equipment we use.

We will provide a safe, inclusive and positive environment and will ensure that staff are caring and are chosen for their ability to serve as positive role models.

We acknowledge and respect the roll of parents / carers as the main providers of care for your children and therefore value you thoughts and opinions immensely. If you feel there are any areas in which we can improve, please do not hessitate to let us know.
